I don’t know about the rest of you, but all of this sporadic Colorado weather has me longing for a warm, summer day… If you are like me and are thinking ahead/already planning your list of summer to-do’s, be sure to check out one (or all) of these 8 best beaches in Denver, and the surrounding area:
1.) Cherry Creek State Park (Aurora)
Picture yourself (in the place of these toast-headed sun-seekers) laying out along this sandy coastline, surrounded by nothing but acres and acres of water. Ahh...
2.) Confluence Park (Denver)
This is about as beachy as it gets in the middle of the city (a patch of sand along the Cherry Creek and the South Platte River)... but we'll take it!
3.) Aurora Reservoir (Aurora)
Is this Colorado or a tropical beach in Mexico? Decide for yourself at the picture-perfect Aurora Reservoir.
4.) Boulder Reservoir (Boulder)
Need a tan? Then you need to go to Boulder Reservoir, which boasts a variety of water sport opportunities, as well as the perfect stretch of ray-catching sand.
5.) Jackson Lake State Park (Orchard)
From the looks of this picture, everyone (and everything) wants to get in on the action at Jackson Lake State Park!
6.) Chatfield State Park (Littleton)
Located just south of Denver is quite possibly one of the roomiest, most scenic beach areas in the state. See for yourself when you visit Chatfield State Park this summer!
7.) Standley Lake Regional Park (Westminster)
Fear not, Westminster; neither Only in Denver nor Mother Nature have forgotten about you! In fact, the Standley Lake Regional Park is an epic 2,321 acres with a designated beach area.
Which one of these best beaches in Denver or the surrounding area is your favorite?
