Denver is famous for having some of the best microbreweries in the world… but — believe it or not — sometimes people don’t crave the hoppy taste of beer and want something a little sweeter (or dryer). If you have a love of fermented grapes, you are going to go crazy for this remote Denver-area winery that is picture perfect for a day trip:
Located in the small and scenic suburb of Evergreen, Creekside Cellars is a hobby-turned-full-blown-family business that is nestled amidst the town's namesake trees.
Opened to the public in 2000, Creekside serves delicious, one-of-a-kind wines with grapes harvested from their vineyard in Palisade.
In addition to their unique red, white, and dessert wines, this remote winery features a number of other fabulous features like a tasting bar...
...Italian cafe with antipasto platters, soups, and grilled panini sandwiches...
...and even an incredible outdoor patio area!
(Heaven on earth, right?)
As if all of this wasn't tempting enough, the wines at Creekside Cellars also boast multiple awards and recognitions from prestigious organizations like the International Women's Wine Competition, International Rose Competition, and
Denver International Wine Competition.
Creekside Cellars is located at 28036 CO-74 in Evergreen and is open daily from 11 am to 5 pm. For a full list of wines, menu options, and more, please visit Creekside's website .
