Those of us who live in Denver can’t help but become attached to certain things. Whether it’s the unbeatable scenery, the delicious food, or the locally crafted drinks, here in the Mile High City we’ve definitely got our favorites that we can’t imagine living without. Check out the list below of 10 awesome local things that make life in Denver complete.
Now, I know what you all are thinking, and it's true. We are known for having legalized access to a marijuana induced "high," but what I'm referring to is that adrenaline rush achieved by hiking your way to the top of a mountain. Bonus points if it's a 14'er.
We'd literally be lost without the majestic Rocky Mountains to the west which not only provide spectacular views, but also keep us going in the right direction.
We've got to get around town somehow, and riding on two wheels is our preferred method. Thank goodness Denver is known for having wonderful bike paths winding around the city in abundance.
Is it just me, or does it seem like almost everyone in Denver has a dog? Whether they're running alongside their owner, riding in a stroller, or catching a Frisbee at a park, dogs are truly a man's best friend here in the MIle High City.
Sure, we like to eat out at the many fine dining establishments in our city. But wherever we dine, there'd better be a breath taking view...and it needs to include both the skyline and Rocky Mountains.
We'd better not have to travel far to exercise, play, or picnic at a spectacular park setting. Here in Denver, parks are everywhere you turn, and we've gotten used to that.
