This has been by far the wonkiest winter I have ever experienced in Colorado… not only has the average temperature been in the 60’s a good majority of 2017, but we have hardly seen any snow or moisture (minus a few days here or there). Since the Centennial State is drunk and essentially went from fall to spring, let’s enjoy it by ordering a scoop or two from the best ice cream shop in Denver:
For more than 30 years, Bonnie Brae Ice Cream has been serving up some of the best traditional and unique ice cream flavors from their iconic University Blvd location.
Named a Westword's "Best Ice Cream Readers' Choice Award" winner (and a Denver's A-List finalist), Bonnie Brae offers an assortment of different ice cream flavors ranging from Chocolate Chip and Strawberry Cheesecake all the way to Deep Dish Apple Pie and Triple Death Chocolate Turtle.
As if all of this wasn't sweet enough, Bonnie Brae also contributes earnings to the non-profit Alpha-1 Foundation, which researches treatments and cures for the genetic Antitrypsin Deficiency.
Bonnie Brae Ice Cream is located at 799 S. University Blvd. in Denver and is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 am to 9 pm, and on Fridays and Saturdays from 11 am to 9:30 pm.
