Are you a lover of all things paranormal? Do you count down the days until Halloween and horror movie marathons? Maybe you love restaurants with a unique theme and quirky history? If any of these things sound like you, you are in luck, as Colorado is home to a restaurant that is both utterly macabre and delicious:
Located in Denver's trendy LoHi neighborhood is the popular Linger restaurant; Denver's finest "Eatuary" with a history as unique as the menu itself.
What makes Linger so different? As you may have guessed from the previous picture, Linger is located in the same building as the old Olinger Mortuary, which was built around the turn of the 20th Century. In 1917, it housed the remains of Buffalo Bill Cody (pictured).
How does Linger pay homage to the former mortuary? It is through subtle (and some not-so-subtle) nods like water bottles that look like those used to contain formaldehyde...
While a death-themed restaurant may not sound all that appetizing, Linger does everything tastefully and even provides a highly-acclaimed, chef-inspired menu that has all the top critics raving.
Linger is open Monday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Tuesday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.
