Located near Crested Butte, Trail 403 is a nearly 8-mile out-and-back trail that passes through some of the most scenic areas in the Gunnison National Forest. Spanning through lush meadows, mature trees, and steep cliffs, Trail 403 is one that is a must-see for everyone, but beware, as it is a technical trail with a high elevation (more than 11,000 feet!) and several rocky and slippery spots.
