Not to brag or anything, but…I consider myself to be somewhat of a playground expert. Aside from being the mom of an active toddler, I was also once a kid myself. That being said, I scoured the state to find the cream of the crop of playgrounds that you — err, I mean your child — will want to explore! Here are 7 of those best parks in Colorado with amazing playgrounds that will make you feel like a kid again.
1.) Westminster Center Park (Westminster)
Also known as Peter Pan Park, this playground boasts a pirates ship, splash pad, and several rock and log structures just waiting to be climbed -- stick around and you'll never have to grow up!
2.) Canyon View Park (Grand Junction)
No dogs allowed...*sang in best "Peanuts" voice* Not the case at Canyon View! In addition to the awesome play equipment for the kids, the park has a large playing area for your fur babies!
3.) Belleview Park (Englewood)
Quite possibly the coolest park ever, Belleview is home to some rad playground equipment, a miniature train, AND a petting zoo! Side note: I know I'd fall off this contraption immediately, yet I'm still intrigued.
4.) White Fence Farm (Lakewood)
Come for the homestyle fried chicken; stay for the petting zoo, giant indoor slide, and beautiful playground!
5.) Scott Carpenter Park (Boulder)
Space themed playground equipment trumps all.
6.) America the Beautiful Park Playground (Colorado Springs)
Big or small, America the Beautiful has a playground to satisfy all (including a stunning fountain to run through after playing hard on the swings)!
7.) Fossil Creek Park (Fort Collins)
Challenge your friends to a game of "American Ninja Warrior" when you climb, swing, and scoot around this outstanding playground.
Which playgrounds am I missing? Tell me about them so I can go check them out! (With my son, of course.)
