It’s summertime and what better way to celebrate the warm, seasonal temperatures than by attending a uniquely Colorado festival? Here are 8 Colorado summer festivals that everyone should experience at least once.
1.) Cherry Creek Arts Festival (Denver)
I know we're a little late to the party with this one (as the Festival took place last weekend), but if you were unable to attend this year's CCAF, be sure to mark your calendar for next year for a day full of food, fun, and stunning masterpieces from local artists.
2.) Hot Air Balloon Rodeo (Steamboat Springs)
Children and adults alike will be awestruck from all of the colorful balloons at this annual favorite. (July 11th & 12th)
3.) Crested Butte Wildflower Festival (Crested Butte)
What better way to enjoy Colorado than by being outside amidst the beautiful state? (July 13th-19th)
4.) Vail International Dance Festival (Vail)
An event unlike any other, the Vail International Dance Festival showcases various dance genres and artists from around the globe! (July 23rd-26th)
5.) A Taste of Colorado (Denver)
Do you like food? Me too! Beer and wine? Me too! Music? ME TOO!! I'll see you at A Taste of Colorado! (Labor Day Weekend)
6.) Telluride Jazz Festival (Telluride)
Enjoy the soothing sounds of jazz with a backdrop like no other -- the Rocky Mountains (August 1st-3rd). If jazz isn't your thing, be sure to check out the numerous other music festivals happening this summer!
7.) Limon Heritage Festival (Limon)
History, demonstrations, and homemade pies (served inside a restored dining car) await you on the eastern plains! (August 1st)
8.) NewWestFest (Fort Collins)
The annual event brings in nationally known artists and bands for a free, three-day musical extravaganza. (August 14th-16th)
