Remember the days when you weren’t constantly bombarded with your friend’s unsolicited political rants, vacation photos and nagging emails? Yeah, me too…good times! You know what else I remember? Doing these 12 things in Colorado before the Internet took over our lives:
1. Blindly going to Casa Bonita without knowing what to expect.
Believe it or not, Yelp used to not be a thing!
2. Navigating through town with just a map.
Sometimes, we'd get lost... but at least it was an adventure!
3. Buying Christmas gifts at Cinderella City (because Amazon didn't exist).
R.I.P. Cinderella City.
4. Meeting new people in person.
Swiping right wasn't an option.
5. Visiting Roxborough State Park without having to worry about documenting it on Instagram.
Roxborough State Park obviously doesn't need a filter.
6. Challenging our friends at the video arcade...
Xbox? Pah-lease.
7. ...meeting our friends at the roller rink...
...and not online.
8. ...and bowling over the competition.
9. Taking long scenic drives along Last Dollar Road.
Just us and our trusty map!
10. Watching movies at the theater or renting them from the neighborhood video store.
Don't forget to rewind!
11. If we had a question, we consulted one of these.
Siri was nowhere to be found when you needed her.
12. Finally, we had to call our friends from payphones whenever we ended up on the wrong side of town.
No cell phones. No Google Maps. No good.
