Look out, folks: Black Friday is here, and with it comes the primitive urge to push, shove, and fight in order to get a decent deal on electronics… If you plan to avoid these barbaric rituals (like I do), consider doing one of the following:
1. Enjoy the Nutcracker Ballet at the Pikes Peak Center.
Tickets are still available for the 7p.m. showing . Visit the
Pikes Peak Center website for more information.
2. Take a long nap.
After the record amounts of tryptophan you consumed, you deserve it!
3. Spend the day skiing...
4. ...snowboarding...
5. ...or sledding.
There is no better way to burn a few calories than by enjoying Colorado's fresh powder!
6. Take the kids to see the ElectriCritters display at the Pueblo Zoo.
ElectriCritters runs Nov. 25th, 27-29th, Dec 4-6th, 11-13th, 18th-23rd, 26-27th from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
7. Volunteer.
Whether you feed the homeless, shovel snow for your elderly neighbor, or gather items for charity; it's good to give back to those less fortunate!
8. Take a hike.
Colorado manages to become even more beautiful this time of year...so get out and enjoy it!
9. Walk through the winter wonderland that is the Denver Botanic Garden's Blossoms of Light.
Blossoms of Light is open Nov. 27th - January 2nd from 5:30-9 p.m.
10. Decorate for Christmas.
Unless, of course, you're like me and decorated weeks ago...
11. Do a pub crawl around Old Town Fort Collins.
The trees and buildings won't be the only things getting lit...
12. Skate around the Ice Rink at The Promenade Shops at Centerra in Loveland.
