Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center is a huge presence on the plains near Denver International Airport. It opened in 2018 with great fanfare and it truly is a wonderful place to stay and explore. In a short time, this resort has become quite famous for its holiday decorations, activities, and events. This year’s ICE! attraction is especially exciting. This 17,000-square-foot frozen attraction features scenes from the Christmas classic film A Christmas Story, and you don’t want to miss it. Gaylord Rockies Resort and Conference Center is gigantic! It has 1,500 rooms including 114 suites, numerous restaurants and a sports bar, a water park, a spa, and 480,000 square feet of event space.

This year, the main attraction at Gaylord Rockies is ICE! If you love the movie A Christmas Story, and who doesn't?, then you'll love this ice sculpture adventure that's themed around it.
Over 40 world-renowned ice carvers traveled all the way from Harbin, China to spend 12,000 hours carving approximately 6,000 blocks of ice - each weighing 300 pounds - to create 10 lifelike scenes from the film.
Blue parkas are provided so you don't get cold! You'll love sliding down this giant ice slide - just like Ralphie did after visiting Santa at the department store.
