The Centennial State is famous for loving their dogs, but despite canines being our best friends, some of us can’t help but love their four-legged enemies as well. While there are countless places around Colorado for dogs, we have a decent amount of locations for us cat lovers, too, including the new cat-themed restaurant, Gattara:
Located inside of Denver's Warwick Hotel, Gattara is a brand-new pizzeria and Italian eatery whose ambiance is as unique as the menu itself.
Translating to "an elderly woman who devotes her time to looking after stray cats," Gattara is headlined by Chef Thomas Newsted, who takes traditional Italian recipes and gives them a contemporary spin complete with locally-sourced ingredients and tried-and-true equipment — a la copper-clad brick ovens.
While the food itself is reason enough to visit, the Gattara ambiance may just steal the show, as the dining room is adorned in felines, with subtle — and not-so-subtle —touches all over the restaurant.
Open all day, the Gattara serves a tantalizing menu complete with savory breakfast items, filling sandwiches, world-class dinner entrees, and desserts that are worthy of ruining your diet.
