While most of the country looks to and considers California to be America’s wine country, those of us in Colorado know where the TRUE wine country lies: the Western Slope! While drinking glass after glass of a rich red or sweet white wine may sound like all you will ever need, you still need to eat, which is where this dreamy Colorado restaurant—which is located right in the heart of wine country—comes into play:
Nestled away in the heart of Colorado wine country lies the aptly named Wine Country Inn; a charming, wine-themed hotel situated on 21-acres of lush vines.
Located in Palisade, the Wine Country Inn features gorgeous accommodations, world-class amenities, and -- of course -- complimentary wine receptions and tastings!
While it is hard to go wrong with any aspect of the Wine Country Inn, the most unforgettable part of all may just be the decadent meals served from the Inn's on-site Caroline's restaurant.
"Whether you prefer informal or formal, dinner will is based on fresh, sustainable local foods paired with local wines," states the Wine Country Inn's website, going on to say that Caroline's "focuses on fresh Colorado foods such as lamb, beef, game and fresh, local produce prepared in the classic French tradition."
(With entree options like Colorado lamb chops...
...and decadent desserts like this Chocolate Torte, there is truly something for everyone to love about this picturesque wine country favorite!)
Caroline's is located inside of Colorado Wine Country Inn (777 Grande River Drive, Palisade) and is open daily from 5 pm to 9 pm. For more information on Carolines, reservations, or the hotel itself, check out the Wine Country Inn's website .
