This Roadside Attraction In Colorado Is The Most Unique Thing You’ve Ever Seen
As you may have noticed, nearly every place in Colorado has some sort of a one-of-a-kind restaurant, shop, or other attraction that you will not find anywhere else in the state… however, when it comes to today’s roadside attraction, there is a good chance that you will not find anything else like it not just in the state, but in the world! Let’s check it out:
Located in Antonito, Cano’s Castle is quite possibly the most unique castle not only in Colorado, but the entire world. Built primarily of beer cans, hub caps, and other recyclables, Cano’s Castle is a four tower masterpiece (nicknamed the king, queen, palace, and rook) that was constructed entirely by Vietnam veteran Donald Espinoza. What inspired the veteran to create such an elaborate home? Espinoza credits both cannabis and Jesus, who is — according to the builder — the only resident of the castle, as Donald lives in a modest trailer home just across the street.
Cano’s Castle is located at the corners of State Street & E 10th Avenue in Antonito and is easy to locate because of its shiny silver siding. Admission to view the castle is always free.
