Bighorn Springs State Wildlife Area near Nathrop, Colorado is lovely and you’ll certainly love spending some time there. Beverage company BlueTriton Brands, which owns the property, has entered into a partnership with Colorado Parks and Wildlife to offer this space to Colorado citizens and visitors so they can hike, fish, and watch birds, bighorn sheep, and other wildlife there.
Central Colorado is beautiful! Nathrop is right in the middle of it all.
The Arkansas River runs right through this part of the state. It's a wonderful place for recreation and is an excellent location for visual encounters with our abundant wildlife.
This new natural and recreational space is owned by BlueTriton Brands but will be managed and overseen by Colorado Parks and Wildlife thanks to a new partnership. Now, anyone with a Colorado hunting or fishing license or CPW state wildlife area pass can go and enjoy its trails and river access.
