Pie is such a classic dessert. There are so many styles and flavors out there, so there truly is never a bad time to indulge your sweet tooth. When it comes to this treat, why bother squandering your dessert on a mediocre pastry? We have some absolutely amazing pie shops in Colorado; here are seven of our favorite places to find mouthwatering pie:
1. Estes Park Pie Shop & Bakery (Estes Park)
Welcome to Estes Park Pie Shop, who proudly proclaim "You need pie!" Since we are not one to argue, we will gladly accept this demand that we need dessert by enjoying homemade cherry, strawberry rhubarb, and raspberry mango pies! The Estes Park Pie Shop is located at 509 Big Thompson Ave., Estes Park, CO 80517 and is open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
2. Granny Scott's Pie Shop (Lakewood)
Remember the amazing pies your grandma used to make? Granny Scott's - who whips up killer lemon meringue, Michigan cherry almond, and Georgia peach - will make you think you are back in your grandma's kitchen on a Sunday afternoon. Granny Scott’s Pie Shop is located at 3333 S Wadsworth Blvd. # C107, Lakewood, CO 80227 and is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
3. 3.14 Sweet & Savory Pi Bar (Colorado Springs)
The best place to spend Pi Day (March 14th) is, of course, 3.14 Sweet & Savory Pi Bar, which invites you to "Have Your Pi and Eat It Too." In addition to their incredible selection of homemade pies, 3.14 Sweet & Savory also offers a number of salads, sandwiches, and other lunch favorites. 3.14 Sweet & Savory Pi Bar is located at 5152 Centennial Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80919 and is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The shop is closed on Monday.

Don't let the low-key exterior fool you or you will miss out on what 9News has declared the best pie in the state! While it does not have a sit-down location, Showboat's is incredibly convenient, as it allows you to simply drive up to the window, pay, and eat. Showboat’s Drive by Pie is located at 54 1st St., Granby, CO 80446 and is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
