Have you been searching high and low for something to do with the family that is as safe as it is unique? Due to social distancing guidelines, these kinds of activities can be hard to come by, which is why we were so excited to discover the unforgettable GingerSnap Rescue Ranch and petting zoo in Colorado:
Located in Colorado Springs, the GingerSnap Rescue Ranch is a non-profit farm that got its start in 2017 after its founders inherited a mini potbelly pig named Buddy.
Officially designated as a non-profit in April 2020, the GingerSnap Rescue Ranch is on a mission to "provide farm animals who have been neglected, abandoned, or can no longer be cared for by their owners a forever home," which they do by partnering with the community, students, higher education institutions, and other various organizations.
Before you visit the GingerSnap Rescue Ranch, you are asked to make an appointment, which allows for social distancing and a safe experience for everyone.
To make your appointment, please visit GingerSnap's website.
In addition to the petting zoo, the GingerSnap Rescue Ranch also offers opportunities to sponsor animals, as well as pony rides, special events, and a chance to get involved and make in difference in the lives of the 4-legged residents.
