Colorado is home to some famous, world-class hikes, but when a national publication goes so far as to recognize us for having the best of something, you know we have to take note! In this case, it is Alex on the Map who is gushing about Colorado’s Emerald Lake Trail, and we couldn’t agree more with what is being said:
"Known for being one of the best hiking trails in Colorado, the Emerald Lake Trail is one of the dreamiest hikes in Rocky Mountain National Park if picture-perfect alpine lakes and stunning scenery are your jam!" begins the description, which was collaborated on with other travel bloggers to come to the final winners.
Spanning 3.5 miles, the Emerald Lake Trail is a relatively easy Colorado hike that passes through some of the most picturesque scenery that RMNP has to offer.
Like all great Rocky Mountain hikes, the trail winds through lush trees and foliage via an easy-to-follow path, leading to the pièce de résistance: The namesake lake.
