Do you have a gift for thrift? I don’t want to brag or anything, but I do… in fact, unlike some Coloradans, my preferred high comes from scoring a great deal, which is why I love these 9 incredible thrift stores in Colorado where you can find all kinds of treasures (and you will too):
1. Brand Spanking Used (Fort Collins)
If you are in the market for some previously loved furniture, there is no beating the selection at this Northern Colorado gem, who donates proceeds from each sale to the Sonny Lubick Foundation, which "supports local cancer survivors by providing financial assistance for basic needs, scholarships, programs and services."
2. Rose Duds (Durango)
Ladies, take note: Rose Duds is the Western Slope's premiere destination for name-brand duds at crazy affordable prices!
3. Peak Thrift (Denver)
One of Denver's newest thrift stores is also one of Denver's best with a huge selection of clothing, furniture, artwork, and more! As if this wasn't enticing enough, 100% of proceeds benefit Urban Peak; a non-profit dedicated to feeding, sheltering, and giving work to homeless and at-risk teenagers.
4. Thrift Rite (Greeley)
Please note, Thrift Rite is no longer in business.
Have you noticed that several thrift stores give back to the community? Yes? Well, Thrift Rite is no exception! If you need an excuse to go out and buy new threads, here is a good one: Thrift Rite partners with Life for the Innocent, whose mission is to rescue children from the dark world of human trafficking.
5. New Horizons Thrift Store (Canon City)
This ain't your mamma's thrift store! The 15,000 square foot showroom at New Horizons features not only your gently-used thrift store staples, but an assortment of unique touches (like these yummy treats) as well!
6. New Horizons Thrift Store (Pueblo)
Same concept as the Canon City store, only this New Horizons spans a whopping 25,000 square feet! (Need we mention that 90% of sales support the New Horizons Ministries?)
7. Fashion Junkie (Grand Junction)
Alright, fashionista; this one is for you! For more than 25 years, Fashion Junkie has been purchasing and re-selling only the finest of clothing via their Grand Junction boutique.
8. Pandora's Chest Bargain Mercantile (Sterling)
Please note, Pandora's Chest Bargain Mercantile is no longer in business.
As a mom to two growing boys, I get it; new kid's clothes are expensive (especially for something they can only wear for so long)... that's where stores like Pandora's Chest come in, selling adorable children's clothing at a fraction of the price.
9. Wilderness Treasures (Colorado Springs)
Please note, Wilderness Treasures is no longer in business.
For a steal of a deal (like $5 bag days, customer appreciation giveaways, and more) on home goods, RUN to the charming family-owned-and-operated Wilderness Treasures!
