No matter the time of year, Coloradans love to get their camp on! Whether it be the cold of winter or a muggy summer night, there is no better place to be than inside your tent or RV, enjoying the beauty that is the Centennial State! If you are looking for a campground that is both dreamy and unforgettable, we recommend visiting this beautiful Colorado fairy tale location:
Tucked away near Leadville is the Turquoise Lake Recreation Area and the must-visit Baby Doe Campground!
Part of the San Isabel National Forest, Baby Doe sits along the eastern shore of Turquoise Lake, which boasts both the scenic lakeshore and views of the surrounding mountains.

...snowmobiling along the icy lanes in the winter...
... and fishing, boating, and kayaking in the warm months.
Roughing it is soooooo rough — especially with views like this.

Baby Doe Campground is open year round, with its peak season running from May through September.
