Tucked away in the forests near Estes Park lies the incredible Baldpate Inn; a "classic mountain getaway offering spectacular views, intriguing history, scrumptiously fresh food, caring staff and cozy accommodations."
Opened in 1917, the Baldpate is housed in a charming homestead cabin that sits atop the Twin Sisters Mountain and is a popular destination for not only travelers, but weddings and reunions as well.
...as well as an exquisite, all-you-can-eat breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner buffet, which is comprised of home-baked goods, salads, made-from-scratch soups, and pies.
Why keys? Named for the book "The Seven Keys to Baldpate," the original owners were known for giving guests their own set of keys to keep, but had to stop during World War I, when the price of metal skyrocketed. After that, the Inn's loyal regulars made it a tradition to bring their own keys to leave at the Baldpate, resulting in what is now the world's largest key collection!
The Baldpate Inn is located at 4900 S. Hwy. 7 in Estes Park. To learn more or to make your reservation, please visit their website.
