Do you have a child who LOVES the Frozen franchise and cannot get enough of Anna, Elsa, and the gang? (Or maybe you love Frozen – we don’t judge!) If so, get ready to be a hero and give the Frozen fan in your life a happy storybook surprise, as this Colorado playground looks like the iconic Kingdom of Arendelle:
Welcome to the beautiful and brand spanking new River Park and Playground.
Nestled away in the equally stunning Breckenridge, the River Park and Playground recently completed Phase 1 of the park and is billed for being an "artfully designed and constructed environment for children ages 5-12 to experience river systems, forests, and the rich history of the area while at play."
Winner of the Colorado Lottery's 2019 Starburst Award for "excellence in the use of funds for a community project," there is something for everyone to love at the River Park and Playground, beginning with - you guessed it! - this Arendelle-esque playset!
While not necessarily modeled after the fictional kingdom, the playground's eye-popping light blue and gray paired with the many triangular shapes certainly reminds us of somewhere Olaf the Snowman would go to play charades. Agree?
In addition to the Disney-looking structure, the River Park and Playground boasts a nature-based play environment that comes complete with soft and safe rubberized play surfaces and green and pristine grassy areas.
Please note: Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Town of Breckenridge requests that no more than 10 people (including both parents and kids) are on the playground at a time and that all visitors social distance and wear masks.
