It's official: The aptly-named High Line Canal Trail is one of the 10 best in the country!
According to USA Today's 10Best and its list of the Best Recreational Trail Winners, the "High Line Canal connects communities and nature 'from the foothills to the plains,' crossing through the most populated part of Colorado and including a montage of nature and communities."
Spanning an impressive 71 miles, High Line Canal Trail winds from Waterton Canyon in Douglas County to Green Valley Ranch in Northeast Denver, and features not only a unique glimpse of Denver and its many suburbs but the area's beautiful nature.
Billed as one of the longest continuous urban trails in the country, travelers along the High Line Canal Trail will enjoy everything from mature trees and panoramic views of the foothills to riverbanks, historic neighborhoods, and quiet parks.
