Welcome to the Administrative Maximum Facility Florence, population 927. Since it opened in 1994, the supermax prison has seen male prisoners from every walk of life, from car jackers all the way up to the most notorious of killers. With their 7 ft by 12 ft cells (furnished with a small bed, timed shower, stool, and desk), it is hard to imagine life inside the compound; however, thanks to footage and interviews from CBS Boston, we have a better idea.
