A few months ago, an abandoned mill – which at one time served as the location for the Great Western Sugar Mill – in Longmont mysteriously caught fire, causing local emergency personnel to jump to their feet and quickly respond. Fortunately, the flames were rapidly extinguished and the building remains intact, which was no small feat considering the poor condition of the building.
