The World's Largest Duck-Themed Festival Happens Right Here In Arkansas And You Don’t Want To Miss It

Food, games, carnival rides, music, dancing, pageants, and more, are what you can expect at the biggest outdoor festival in Arkansas this year. The World’s Championship Duck Calling Contest and Wings Over the Prairie Festival will be held in Stuttgart and it is host to one the largest Duck Gumbo cookoffs in the South. Get ready for the most fun you’ll have at an outdoor festival this year.
The 87th Wings Over the Prairie Festival has become part of Arkansas’ heritage.
And this award-winning festival combines three events in one: the World's Championship Duck Calling Contest, the Duck Gumbo Cook-Off Contest, and the Wings Over the Prairie Festival. The event kicks off the week of Thanksgiving on November 19 with the Queen Mallard Pageants. And this year, it will be bigger and better than ever.
It will celebrate the start of duck hunting season, and it promises there will be entertainment for everyone.
Best of all, prepare to spend lots of time on the carnival and midway rides. The little kids as well as the kids at heart will have a blast on the adrenaline pumping rides.
As with any event with alcoholic beverages, we urge you to drink responsibly.
But the highlight of the event is the World Championship Duck Gumbo Cook-Off. Participants will be cooking up that delicious warm, savory gumbo for a chance to win top prize.
And if that weren’t enough, there will be food vendors, an arts and crafts fair, duck races, outdoor exhibits, and so much more.
The festival will attract thousands of people from all over the world, and so you’ll want to be part of the biggest street party in Arkansas this year.
