The bread at Serenity Farm Bread is definitely not crumby! It’s the exact opposite, actually – and that’s no coincidence. Great care and quality ingredients go into each loaf. The fresh-baked bread isn’t the only reason you knead to make the trek to the small town pastry shop, though. There’s also the slew of sweets that it whips up daily.
A true hidden gem, Serenity Farm Bread is located along a stretch of highway in the small town of Leslie.
Everything whipped up at the pastry shop is delicious, but the bread is the star of the show. In fact, the Westin A. Price Foundation named it one of the “best breads for health.”
Sourdough bread may be the only type of bread the shop sells, but that doesn’t mean there’s no variety. It comes in a slew of flavors, which run the gamut from savory to sweet.
The famous fermented dough isn’t used just for bread, though. Serenity Farm Bread whips up a variety of sourdough-based pastries, like croissants, danishes, and maple-pecan sticky buns.
There are traditional pastries, too. Éclairs, creme brulee', lemon tarts, fruit tarts, and chocolate truffle cakes are just a few of the treats you’ll find in the shop’s stocked display cases.
