Did you know that the yummy cheese dip has roots in central Arkansas? It is said that the recipe was created in 1935 by Blackie Donnely, the original owner of the restaurant chain Mexico Chiquito. So, it’s only fitting that Little Rock hosts an annual cheese dip festival. And it will be the tastiest food festival in Arkansas that you’ll attend all year. Of course, with unlimited sampling of ooey, gooey cheese dips, it’s guaranteed that you’ll leave happy and full.

Come one, come all to the 11th Annual World Cheese Dip Competition held in Little Rock that kicks off at 12 p.m. on October 30.
The world-famous competition will be held at the Little Rock River Market Pavilions. And it will attract thousands of visitors both locally and nationally.
Tickets are sold on the official website linked below and they range in prices depending on your age or the package you desire.
You’ll be able to enjoy all-you-can-eat cheese dips with each purchase as well as drink tickets that include soda, water, wine, or an ice-cold beer. But best of all, kids under 6 are FREE.

The competition will be between professional as well as amateur teams, and you’ll be able to vote for the best cheese dip in the People's Choice Awards.
And if you’re not a fan of cheese, no judgment will be passed, come out and enjoy the event with the cheese dip lovers. There will be other vendors selling food that you can enjoy.
