I am a nature lover and self-proclaimed foodie wrapped in one package. In my previous life, I was an Accountant, but numbers were boring and writing is the only thing that fuels my soul. So, I write because it's my freedom...it brings me joy. When I'm not writing dope articles for OnlyInYourState, I am writing and editing articles for my online blog on Medium.com. Or, when I get the chance, I am off on a trip with my family chasing waterfalls, or simply exploring the great outdoors. My mantra is to always find the best part of every day and bask in it.

1. Legend has it that otherworldly creatures live inside Blowing Cave in Cushman.
A secret entrance to the underworld, AND home to a race of human-like beings? With all this UFO info being confirmed, I'm beginning to believe there might be some truth to this. My advice is...enter this cave at your own risk. By the way, if you look closely at the pic, it resembles a fossilized head of a giant lizard-like/dinosaur creature hanging down...YIKES!
2. Bella Vista was home to the largest underground cave nightclub in the country.
Opened on March 1, 1930, Wonderland Underground Nightclub was the hottest nightclub in the South. The underground hotspot attracted celebrities and jazz musicians from across the country. I assume the temperature inside the cave was cool, so it was an ideal spot for a party of 300-400 people.
Holding several world records for the largest watermelons, Hope deserves all the bragging rights. Since 1925, the small town has been growing these giant fruits, including one that recently weighed in at a whopping 268.8 pounds. Move over Texas... Arkansas' has the biggest melons.
At first glance, this might look like an ordinary rock. But don't be fooled, this is the second largest observed meteorite retrieved in America and could be over 9 billion years old. This massive 800-pound meteorite landed near Paragould in 1930, and after being sold and held in other places, the infamous space rock finally made its way home. If you wanna see the meteorite, visit the Greene County Museum.
5. The Villa Marre House in Little Rock was used for the Designing Women opening credits.
Y'all remember that popular 80s sitcom, Designing Women that starred Delta Burke? Well, this gorgeous Italian-style home that was built in 1881, was featured in the opening credits. Today, the charming home is primarily used as a wedding venue.
In the early part of the 20th century, before 1932, it was illegal for folks to openly flirt in the streets of Little Rock. If caught, you could've spent 30 days in jail. If I was alive back then, I probably would've been locked up many, many, many times...just saying.
7. A silo in Lavaca is the "World's Largest Budweiser Can."
One man's love for Budweiser led to this massive 50-foot iconic beer can on Belle Point Ranch. This 48-year-old roadside attraction was the brainchild of David McMahon, Sr., who was a local Angus cattle breeder and beer distributor. One question...is this Bud for you?
8. Cockburn’s Ostrich Farm in Hot Springs was the largest ostrich farm in the country.
Back in the early 1900s, Hot Springs was home to America's largest ostrich farm. Owner Thomas Cockburn had 200 ostrich that attracted lots of tourists ever year. The massive birds ran daily races, pulled speed wagons, and were one of the best attractions at the state and county fairs until the farm closed in the 1940s.

9. Located in Little Rock, Esse Purse Museum & Store is every girl's dream come true.
In my opinion, one of the greatest inventions EVER...is a purse. Sorry, but that's not up for debate. As the only purse museum in America, owner Anita Davis' goal is to celebrate the accessory that's an extension of women. I don't know about you, but if there was a disaster, I could survive for a while with everything I have in my purse.
This strange decision was made in 1985 by the Arkansas General Assembly. Based on what I discovered, y'all can choose the type of milk you want to consume. My only question is...does nut milk count?
