I am a nature lover and self-proclaimed foodie wrapped in one package. In my previous life, I was an Accountant, but numbers were boring and writing is the only thing that fuels my soul. So, I write because it's my freedom...it brings me joy. When I'm not writing dope articles for OnlyInYourState, I am writing and editing articles for my online blog on Medium.com. Or, when I get the chance, I am off on a trip with my family chasing waterfalls, or simply exploring the great outdoors. My mantra is to always find the best part of every day and bask in it.
If you’ve ever driven on scenic Highway 70 from Memphis Tennessee to Hot Springs, chances are you passed by Craig’s BBQ and didn’t notice it. This unassuming roadside restaurant located in DeValls Bluff serves the best BBQ in Arkansas. Like most BBQ joints, there are no frills needed because the food speaks for itself. And best of all, this award-winning restaurant has been around for 75 years and still going strong.
Back in 1947, an idea that formulated at a kitchen table came to life with the opening of Craig Bros Cafe (Craig’s BBQ).
Located off scenic Highway 70 in DeValls Bluff, this restaurant is the quintessential small town BBQ joint. And it attracts patrons from all over the state.
Don’t expect any fancy decorations or extra fuss when you walk into this restaurant. Also, there are only a few tables available, and you’ll be lucky if you get one.
Folks who are in the know, call ahead to place their orders, so if you plan to visit, we recommend you do so. Additionally, the restaurant is cash only, so be sure to have some money when you visit.

The hole in the wall eatery has a simple menu of BBQ favorites that are smoked to perfection.
It’s messy, overflowing with mouthwatering meat, and topped off with delicious homemade coleslaw. And best of all, it’s lathered with the signature savory BBQ sauce.
In addition to the pork sandwich, the ribs are always juicy and delicious. If you’re a BBQ lover, then you know the meat should be so tender that it falls off the bones, right?
Well, you can expect just that at Craig’s, and the succulent ribs keep a stream of customers coming through the door. Many of them have been eating there for over 50 years.
Additionally, this eatery also serves chicken, beef, sausages, and more. Each meal is served with one side and a drink.
