As a 2020 Hall of Fame people’s choice nominee, this old-school diner in Arkansas might be tiny, but the food packs big flavors. Perhaps you’ve heard of Norphlet, a tiny suburb about 10 miles outside of the cultural town of El Dorado Arkansas. But have you heard of Cafe 1891, a small-town diner that’s dishing up some big-time Cajun flavors?
This retro diner is located on East Padgett Road inside the oldest building in the town. Stop by the cafe from Tuesday to Friday for lunch or dinner and indulge in a delicious made-from-scratch homestyle meal.
Opened in 2017, the diner prides itself on preserving the history of the tiny town as well as building relationships in the community.
