I am a nature lover and self-proclaimed foodie wrapped in one package. In my previous life, I was an Accountant, but numbers were boring and writing is the only thing that fuels my soul. So, I write because it's my freedom...it brings me joy. When I'm not writing dope articles for OnlyInYourState, I am writing and editing articles for my online blog on Medium.com. Or, when I get the chance, I am off on a trip with my family chasing waterfalls, or simply exploring the great outdoors. My mantra is to always find the best part of every day and bask in it.
Of course, we know that Arkansas is a landlocked state, but that doesn’t stop us from enjoying water recreation every chance we get. Luckily, there are lots of rivers, creeks, lakes, waterfalls, and more, that are great for swimming or just wading on a hot Summer day. But there is one gorgeous swimming hole in Arkansas that I recommend visiting at least once. And the hike to this haven is everything that you could imagine. Let’s explore White Oak Creek and Falls in Ozark Arkansas and marvel at the surprises waiting at every turn.
On this hike, the aim is to get to the main waterfall as well as enjoy a day at the creek. But there are at least 5 named cascades in the area, some with pools perfect for wading.
The trail is unmarked but easy to follow, as it is heavily used by ATV riders in the area.

At less than 3-miles out-and-back, this short, easy trek is great for all level of hikers. Also, you can bring the pup along for this fun Ozark Adventure.
At 37 feet tall, you'll want to take some time to marvel at White Oak Creek Falls. You can easily view the falls from the top of the creek, but you'll want to get closer to enjoy the magic of it all.
As you can tell, this entire area has water flowing at every turn. So, it will be easy to find a spot to wade or just to relax on a warm Summer day.
