Some establishments have been around for so long that they hold a special place in the hearts of residents. That’s surely the case with Bruno’s Little Italy. Having been a part of the Arkansas culinary scene on and off (but mostly on) since the 1940s, it’s a state staple. And for many, it’s known just as much for the fond memories it serves up as it is for its tasty Italian fare.
Bruno’s has been at its current location on Main Street in Little Rock since 2013. However, its Arkansas roots go back much further.
By that time, the family, who emigrated from Italy, had already achieved success in the food business after opening one of the first pizzerias in New York.

It remained at its original location for nearly three decades. In the years that followed, it moved a handful of times, never closing for more than a couple of years between moves.
In fact, Bruno’s has received countless awards for its consistently delicious fare, including the Great Gold Cup Trophy of Honor for “the best Italian food in the U.S.”
Despite its widespread popularity, Bruno’s hasn’t lost its “mom and pop” appeal, which likely has something to do with the fact that it’s still ran by the same family.
For more information, call Bruno’s at (501) 372-7866. You can also visit the eatery’s website. And remember to follow Bruno’s Little Italy on Facebook to stay up-to-date on hours, specials, and more.
