A “Soggy, shivery spring ahead” is what the Farmers’ Almanac is predicting for the 2023 season of new beginnings. And with spring around the corner, chances are, you’re looking forward to spending time enjoying the delightful weather. But don’t put away your winter coats just yet, because the 2023 spring season in Arkansas might be a cold and wet one.

Whether you listen to Punxsutawney Phil, the groundhog weather specialist, or consult the Farmers’ Almanac, you’ll be getting a prediction of the incoming spring season.

And while winter is still in full swing, the Spring Equinox will be here before you know it.
This winter has been quite unpredictable in Arkansas to say the least. We’ve seen thundersnow, freezing rain, record temperatures, as well as unbelievable snowfall.

Of course, by now, many Arkansans have become weary of the cold and unforgiving weather outside.

After all, once the wintery flurries settle and after the snowball fights, somebody’s gotta clean up all that snow, while braving the brutal cold.

The Farmers’ Almanac has been accurately predicting weather forecasts for hundreds of years.
So, it’s safe to say that their soggy and shivery predictions for spring 2023 are correct.

The unseasonably cold temperatures as well as heavy thunderstorms will be impacting most of the southeast region, including Arkansas.
However, don't allow the dreary, cold predictions to dampen your springtime fun.

Be sure to wear your winter coats and have your umbrellas in hand to brave through the cold and rainy weather ahead.
Of course, heavy rains aren't all bad because April showers always bring vibrant spring flowers. Not to mention that the heavy rains will also create the ideal conditions for Arkansas’ spectacular cascades.
