Everyone loves a swinging bridge! Not only do they bridge the gap (literally) along scenic trails, but they often boast great views. There aren’t lots of swinging bridges in Arkansas; however, we found three that you’ll want to spend a day exploring.
Zinc Swinging Bridge, 8199-8089 Washington St E, Harrison, AR 72601, USA
A longstanding staple in the tiny town of Zinc, this swinging bridge extends 104-feet over Sugar Orchard Creek. It was built in 1927, making it the oldest known suspension bridge in Arkansas. That’s not its only claim to fame, though. It’s also the only pedestrian bridge of its kind in the state, according to the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program.
