I am a nature lover and self-proclaimed foodie wrapped in one package. In my previous life, I was an Accountant, but numbers were boring and writing is the only thing that fuels my soul. So, I write because it's my freedom...it brings me joy. When I'm not writing dope articles for OnlyInYourState, I am writing and editing articles for my online blog on Medium.com. Or, when I get the chance, I am off on a trip with my family chasing waterfalls, or simply exploring the great outdoors. My mantra is to always find the best part of every day and bask in it.
Is it a snowball or snow cone or do you call it shaved ice? Either way, when was the last time you had one of those sweet treats? Well, if you can’t remember, this means you’re overdue for a cup of the sugary, sweet, colorful goodness. So, take a trip back into the past to feel like a kid again by visiting Da’ Bayou Snowballs and Sweets in the River Valley. This snowball shop in Arkansas serves some of the best snowballs around, and you’ll want to try them all for yourself.
With 3 locations scattered throughout the Arkansas River Valley, Bayou Snowballs is keeping childhood memories alive.
The NOLA themed snowball shop has 2 locations in Fort Smith, one of which is a seasonal drive-thru stand, and the other is open year-round.
The third location is on Coker Street in Greenwood, and it’s the most adorable shop that you can imagine. It features a candy store, a retro arcade as well as old-school games. (Talk about triggering some childhood memories.)
While all 3 locations are set up differently, they all have one thing in common - they boast the best snowballs in the area. But you’ll need to judge them for yourself.
With over 100 flavors including sugar free options as well as specialty snowballs, you’ll literally feel like a kid in a candy store. The combinations are ENDLESS!!!
Choose from classic flavors like strawberry, root beer, cotton candy, and watermelon, then add the toppings your heart desires. Or opt for one of the crazy creations.
The Big Easy, which combines 4 different snowballs, ain’t for the faint of heart. It’s shareable, but if you’re enjoying it alone, proceed with the utmost caution.
If you’re not a fan of snowballs but love milkshakes, then get ready for a treat. You must try one of the Boujee shakes that live up to their name. Made with the finest Blue Bell ice cream, these Boujee shakes are out of this world and almost too pretty to drink…ALMOST!
Aside from snowballs and milkshakes, there are ice cream nachos, soda floats, and so much more. And best of all, you can enjoy these sweet, sugary treats all year long!
