I am a nature lover and self-proclaimed foodie wrapped in one package. In my previous life, I was an Accountant, but numbers were boring and writing is the only thing that fuels my soul. So, I write because it's my freedom...it brings me joy. When I'm not writing dope articles for OnlyInYourState, I am writing and editing articles for my online blog on Medium.com. Or, when I get the chance, I am off on a trip with my family chasing waterfalls, or simply exploring the great outdoors. My mantra is to always find the best part of every day and bask in it.
We told you about the rustic restaurant at Byrd’s Adventure Center in Ozark. And in our opinion, the views and food are worth a trip. But did you know that you could fly your plane to the restaurant for a truly epic adventure in Arkansas? Yep folks, the adventure center has two runways, and it hosts fly-ins every spring and fall. So, if you own a single-engine airplane, a trike, a powered parachute, or any lightweight aircraft, fly the Ozark backcountry to Byrd’s Adventure Center…enjoy a delicious meal, and perhaps take advantage of all the outdoor recreation the center has to offer.
It's not every day that you can fly an airplane or parachute to a restaurant in the mountains.
Of course, you can drive, ride your bike or float to the restaurant, but you’ll miss out on these incredible views. Best of all, flying to the restaurant is free, and you can pitch a tent right next to your plane for a bucket list worthy experience.
I know that we all don’t own flying aircrafts, but don’t let that stop you from visiting Byrd's Adventure Center. Plan a weekend camping trip and take advantage of all the fun activities the center has to offer.
