Who needs a tent when you can pick from a whole cabin campground? The River View Cabins and Canoes in Oden are a fabulous collection of cabins near the banks of the Ouachita River.
The majority of the cabins can sleep 2, 4, or 6 guests (we'll get to the larger ones in a just a moment). All of the cabins have gorgeous views of the forest and are spaced out enough to feel pleasantly secluded.

Each cabin has its own flair but all have everything you need for a worry-free weekend.
All cabins have modern kitchens, bathrooms, and fireplaces. Nearly every cabin has an outdoor hot tub, too! For an added fee you can also bring your pets for a full family vacation.

River View Cabins and Canoes also has a bunkhouse!
The three largest cabins are the Whispering Oaks Cottage (sleeps 11), the Hideout (sleeps 24), and then the Bunk House. The Bunk House can sleep up to 52 people and features a full kitchen, multiple bathrooms/showers, and a 40-ft. screened pavilion. On the grounds of the Bunk House you'll find a volleyball court, horseshoes, a swing set, and a children's playhouse.
During the fall and winter, the Bunk House turns into a hostel! It's an inexpensive way to enjoy the quiet off-season.
The surrounding outdoor recreation is varied and just about endless. The adventure can start as soon as you walk outside, too! The River Trail is only a few yards away from some of the cabins.
River View Cabins and Canoes can also help supply your fun as well as your lodging.
Rent a canoe, kayak, or larger fishing kayak and paddle down the Ouachita River. River View also offers shuttle services as well as mapped out float trips ranged from 2 to 5 hours long.
Rent a canoe one day and a mountain bike the next for even more adventures! Multiple award-winning trails are nearby including the Womble, the Ouachita National Rec Trail, and the Lovit. River View has mountain bikes as well as a work station, basic tools, patch kits, air pump, and wash station. They have shuttle services for bikers, too!
