J.B. Weisenfels has lived in rural Arkansas for three decades. She is a writer, a mom, and a graduate student. She is also an avid collector of tacky fish whatnots, slightly chipped teapots, and other old things. In her spare time she enjoys driving to the nearest creek to sit a while. If you were to visit her, she'd try to feed you cornbread.
There are, of course, tons of completely gorgeous overlooks sprinkled throughout the Natural State. Yellow Rock Trail at Devil’s Den is one for the ages and Hawksbill Crag is internationally renowned. That all makes sense, of course, as stunning views of the Ozarks and Ouachitas are kind of our thing over in western Arkansas. Today we’re going to talk about the overlooks at a recreation area that doesn’t get nearly enough love. Let’s take a moment to appreciate the absolutely jaw-dropping views from White Rock Mountain right here in Arkansas:
So, what do you think? Are you about ready to go and explore the gorgeous overlooks on White Rock Mountain? Did you have a different scenic overlook in mind? You’re more than welcome to tell us about your favorite overlooked spot in the Natural State on our nomination page.
