I am a nature lover and self-proclaimed foodie wrapped in one package. In my previous life, I was an Accountant, but numbers were boring and writing is the only thing that fuels my soul. So, I write because it's my freedom...it brings me joy. When I'm not writing dope articles for OnlyInYourState, I am writing and editing articles for my online blog on Medium.com. Or, when I get the chance, I am off on a trip with my family chasing waterfalls, or simply exploring the great outdoors. My mantra is to always find the best part of every day and bask in it.
Editor’s Note: There is no Pea Festival scheduled for this year. However, you can check out other fun events throughout Arkansas.
Y’all, festival season is in full swing in Arkansas. Have you gone to any yet? We have lots of them to choose from, like food, music, and balloon festivals, just to name a few. But none of them are as unique as the PurpleHull Pea Festival and World Championship Rotary Tiller Race. This one-of-a-kind festival only happens in Arkansas, and it’s the most fun you’ll have this year.
Get ready for the PurpleHull Pea Festival and World Championship Rotary Tiller Race on June 24 and 25.
Each year, the festival is held in the tiny town of Emerson, Arkansas.
This unique festival began as a noble cause to create a community park for the residents of Emerson. But it has since ballooned into an award-winning event.
Family night is on Friday, and you’ll enjoy the talent competition, music, dancing, games, and more. And on Saturday, after the tiller race, car shows, and other festivities, there will be fireworks to close out the evening.
This is a free, family-friendly event, and there will be lots of fun activities for y’all to enjoy. So, head to Emerson for this unique festival that you will only find in Arkansas.
Folks, have you ever been to the PurpleHull Pea Festival? Let us know in the comment section. And for more information about the event, visit the website or Facebook page.
Also, while you’re in Emerson, you must go to the Smokin’ Bull to grab a bite to eat.
