I am a nature lover and self-proclaimed foodie wrapped in one package. In my previous life, I was an Accountant, but numbers were boring and writing is the only thing that fuels my soul. So, I write because it's my freedom...it brings me joy. When I'm not writing dope articles for OnlyInYourState, I am writing and editing articles for my online blog on Medium.com. Or, when I get the chance, I am off on a trip with my family chasing waterfalls, or simply exploring the great outdoors. My mantra is to always find the best part of every day and bask in it.
If you look up the definition of off the beaten path, you might find a picture of Advada’s Diner. This hidden gem is in a renovated quail barn, tucked inside the farming community of Carlisle. And it’s so old fashioned that you will need to bring cash, a check book, or you can opt to use the ATM inside. Also, the food is so delicious that this eatery doesn’t need a website or official Facebook page. Word of mouth, loyal patrons, as well as the mouthwatering food, are enough marketing for this small-town restaurant.
Located at 604 Frances Street off Highway 70 or off Interstate 40 in Carlisle is Advada’s Diner, a family-owned restaurant making delicious food for over 20 years.
The hidden gem is open from Monday to Saturday from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m., serving down home Southern breakfast and lunch favorites.
As you walk into this diner, you’ll fall in love with the trinkets and memorabilia on the walls. From vintage signs to old license plates to a collection of hand drawn Garfield napkins, you’ll have plenty to look at.
You’ll also be greeted with friendly people and will feel right at home.

But what makes this eatery stand out is that it’s as old fashioned as they come. They accept cash or checks only, and there is no website or official Facebook page.
But with a 4.7-star rating, the owners must be doing something right. They ain’t cooking your average food, instead they serve down home, stick to your ribs southern feast.

And the patrons from near and far keep coming back for more. From time to time, you might find a delicious buffet serving all the Southern favorites…
But it’s the breakfast menu that really steals the show. Biscuits and gravy, pancakes, sausage, farm fresh eggs, all cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor.
And not to mention the Southern breakfast platter, it will keep you full for hours. When the food is this good, you don’t need a website because folks will spread the word for you. And the word is out, Advada’s is one of the most delicious diners in Arkansas.
So, the next time you find yourself on I-40 or Highway 70 between Memphis and Little Rock, drive off the beaten path and stop in at Advada’s Diner.
You’ll agree that this eatery cooks the most delicious food in town. And don’t forget to bring some CASH!
