1. Woolly Hollow State Park (Greenbrier)
Woolly Hollow may be one of Arkansas’ lesser-known parks, but that doesn’t make it any less worthy of a visit. Offering camping, hiking, and mountain biking, it’s a great visit year-round. However, if you visit in the summer, you can take advantage of one of the park’s biggest perks – its picturesque lake, which is perfect for swimming. 2. Chateau Aux Arc Vineyards and Winery (Altus)
Unbeknownst to many, Arkansas has a flourishing wine country. 4. Collins Creek Cascade and Trout Stream (Heber Springs)
If ever there were a waterfall worth chasing, it’s Collins Creek Cascade. Luckily, you won’t have to chase it too far – the trail to the cascade is just over a ½ mile. 5. H.U. Lee International Gate and Garden (Little Rock)
Hiding in plain sight, H.U. Lee International Gate and Garden is located in downtown Little Rock. The site, which pays tribute to Grand Master Haeng Ung Lee, features an exquisite South Korean gate and garden, which is filled with lush greenery as well as symbolic statues and structures. 6. QuiVaLa Elise Waterfall (Jasper)
If you’ve never sought out the QuiVaLa Elise Waterfall, you should change that this summer. Located within the Smith Creek Nature Preserve, the flowing fall is a favorite of photographers, and it’s easy to see why – it’s stunning! A 1.6-mile out-and-back trail leads to the waterfall.
