I am a nature lover and self-proclaimed foodie wrapped in one package. In my previous life, I was an Accountant, but numbers were boring and writing is the only thing that fuels my soul. So, I write because it's my freedom...it brings me joy. When I'm not writing dope articles for OnlyInYourState, I am writing and editing articles for my online blog on Medium.com. Or, when I get the chance, I am off on a trip with my family chasing waterfalls, or simply exploring the great outdoors. My mantra is to always find the best part of every day and bask in it.
By now, you should know that Arkansas is a playground for folks who love the great outdoors. Earning its name as the Natural State, there are endless opportunities for outdoor adventure. One of the newest recreational spaces is Pine Knob Mountain Bike Park in Russellville. This new adventure park in Arkansas features hiking as well as biking trails and it’s great for the entire family. If you’re in the area, this is one park I would recommend that you check out.
Biking has risen to become a favorite pastime activity for Arkansans, and one of the newest biking trails is tucked inside the Confederate Mother’s Memorial Park in Russellville.
Through the efforts of the River Valley Ozark Off Road Cyclists organization as well as over 500 hours of community volunteer time, Pine Knob Mountain Bike Park opened earlier this year.
Featuring hiking trails as well as a network of biking trails, ranging from beginner to expert level, this park has something for the entire family.
Bikers will discover lots of adventure as the park boasts a network of 7 trails. There are biking courses for toddlers who are eager to improve their skills.
Along the way, you'll find various obstacles as well as some cool jumps on the trails. But best of all, I love the quirky names like Chipmunk Scurry, Turtles all the Way, Crane Whoop, and Jackanope...they add more fun to the outdoor experience.
Don't forget, safety first, so be sure to pack all your protective gear before heading to this incredible bike park in the River Valley.
For more information about the park, visit the Pine Knob Mountain Bike Park website. Also, if you would like more outdoor adventure in the area, spend the day at Lake Dardanelle State Park…we guarantee that it will cure all your worries.
