I am a nature lover and self-proclaimed foodie wrapped in one package. In my previous life, I was an Accountant, but numbers were boring and writing is the only thing that fuels my soul. So, I write because it's my freedom...it brings me joy. When I'm not writing dope articles for OnlyInYourState, I am writing and editing articles for my online blog on Medium.com. Or, when I get the chance, I am off on a trip with my family chasing waterfalls, or simply exploring the great outdoors. My mantra is to always find the best part of every day and bask in it.
It’s not every day that you come across a covered bridge inside a park in Arkansas. In fact, we have less than 50 of these man-made wonders scattered throughout the state, but only one is tucked inside a park. So, the Burns Park Covered Bridge is a truly unique attraction. And along with a footbridge, this urban park will be a grand adventure. Let’s explore this enchanting park with multiple bridges in Arkansas.
You won’t find spectacular waterfalls or jaw-dropping overlooks at Burns Park located in North Little Rock, but it’s still one of Arkansas' true hidden gems.
Tucked along the banks of the Arkansas River, this 1,700-acre park is the largest municipal park in the state. And it’s a beautiful urban oasis filled with tons of recreation and amenities.
They include golf courses, soccer fields, BMX track, bike trails, tennis courts, camping, and so much more.
And of course, since 1957, it has been home to the Funland Amusement Park, an adorable theme park that is lots of fun for the little ones.

Additionally, this delightful park has paved and natural surface multi-use hiking trails, where you can enjoy scenic views of the Arkansas River valley area.
And speaking of war, prior to becoming Burns Park, portions of the land was used for military training and there’s even a World War II tank inside the park.
Both are surrounded with serene views, which makes them perfect for a lovely stroll through the park.
Bring the kids along for this delightful adventure. Not only will they love the bridges, but they will also love all the fun activities inside the park.
