I am a nature lover and self-proclaimed foodie wrapped in one package. In my previous life, I was an Accountant, but numbers were boring and writing is the only thing that fuels my soul. So, I write because it's my freedom...it brings me joy. When I'm not writing dope articles for OnlyInYourState, I am writing and editing articles for my online blog on Medium.com. Or, when I get the chance, I am off on a trip with my family chasing waterfalls, or simply exploring the great outdoors. My mantra is to always find the best part of every day and bask in it.
At 85,000 acres, Caney Creek Wildlife Management Area is a vast sanctuary waiting to be explored. From multi-use hiking trails to recreational areas as well as scenic overlooks, this wilderness haven is an outdoor playground in Arkansas filled with adventure. Moreover, there are over 13 bodies of water inside the natural area. They include the Little Missouri and Cossatot Rivers, Caney Creek, Shady Lake, and East Saline Creek, just to name a few. Making this nature preserve a slice of heaven for all outdoor enthusiasts. If I must say so myself, it’s one of the best wilderness areas in Arkansas.
And if you’re searching for a good spot to eat after your adventures, check out Skyline Cafe in Mena. It’s a hidden gem restaurant in Arkansas with good down-home cookin’.
