But have you witnessed the magnificent South Mountain Scenic Overlook? This spectacular overlook in Arkansas features the most picturesque panoramic views, and it’s worthy of your bucket list. And best of all, you can drive right to it.
At an elevation of 1386 feet, the South Mountain Overlook offers one of the most expansive views of the Boston Mountain region.
The overlook is located along Highway 65 between the tiny towns of Leslie and Marshall, Arkansas.
You may have driven past this overlook many time while driving on Highway 65 North towards Marshall,. Though it’s not well-marked, you’ll want to stop at this roadside attraction the next time you’re in the region.
Installed in 2019 by Searcy County, the historical marker gives a brief history of the area, as well as highlights the various places that are visible.
Aside from the overlook and the pavilion, the most adorable coffee café is a few steps away.
Rock-n-Java is the icing on the cake for this Arkansas adventure. The café is a full-service espresso bar, serving locally-roasted coffee, as well as pastries and daily lunch specials.
