You don’t have to travel to Wisconsin for your cheese fix: Kraemer Wisconsin Cheese has opened in Arkansas! Wisconsinites are already familiar with this nearly 100-year-old family business, but now Arkansans can have a savory taste too. Of all places, Kraemer Wisconsin Cheese decided to open a second location in Hot Springs Village. Let’s pop in and see the spread:
Before we delve into their new store in the Natural State, let's learn about this longstanding family business.
This cheesy story started in Watertown, WI with Tony Kraemer and a tiny dairy farm back in the 1920s. The farm grew as did the Kraemer family, and the Kraemer Dairy Store was created. Now, with three generations on board, the Kraemer Wisconsin Cheese is a beloved name up north. That name, just like their cheese, has spread!
Like most travelers, the Kraemer family fell in love with Arkansas; but, this family came with an unexpected bonus!
While vacationing around Hot Springs, the Kraemers decided to open a second retail location. The Hot Springs Village location opened in the summer of 2020.

Now Arkansans can indulge in the delectable cheeses created on the Wisconsin dairy farm.
Kraemer Wisconsin Cheese is on North State Highway 7 in Hot Springs Village. They're open Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays from 8 AM to 5 PM; Tuesdays and Thursdays 8 AM to 6 PM; and Saturdays 8 AM to 3 PM.
One particular thing Kraemer Wisconsin Cheese has developed quite well is the cheesy spreads. Jim Kraemer has created recipes for 13 varieties of cheese spreads that are all worth tasting. These are all made in small batches to ensure tastiness and freshness.
So many cheese bricks to choose from! Savory aged cheddars, crumbly blues, or traditional American cheeses. They have a variety of wheel and brick sizes too so it's easy to grab a few extras.
