8. Weinkeller Restaurant (Altus)
The spot where adorable and absolutely delicious Weinkeller Restaurant sits was not always underground. That’s because it’s located on what used to be a hand dug wine cellar. Confused a bit? Don’t be. Weinkeller sits right in the middle of Weiderkehr Wine Cellars, right in the heart of Arkansas wine country. Weinkeller serves European food with flare, and you best believe they’ve got your back when it comes to choosing a wine pairing. 9. Treasure?
Old Spanish Treasure Cave has an elaborate legend surrounding it, and like all good legends, it’s got just enough hard evidence to keep it viable. People have been searching for treasure hidden by Hernando DeSoto’s men for well over a hundred years. But even if you don’t believe in the treasure, a great time awaits you at 14290 North Highway 59 in Sulphur Springs, in the Old Spanish Treasure Cave.
