J.B. Weisenfels has lived in rural Arkansas for three decades. She is a writer, a mom, and a graduate student. She is also an avid collector of tacky fish whatnots, slightly chipped teapots, and other old things. In her spare time she enjoys driving to the nearest creek to sit a while. If you were to visit her, she'd try to feed you cornbread.
I’ve already told you about Arkansas’s ultimate waterfall paradise, but there’s a miniature version as well. That mini waterfall paradise is located at a little place called Haw Creek Recreation Area, and it’s a veritable wonderland of easily accessible waterfalls. While you’re there you can swim beneath the falls, camp within view of them, or simply wander around and see the all the gorgeous falls.
I’ve got some pretty fantastic news about Haw Creek Falls—you can camp within viewing distance of the waterfall. Haw Creek Falls is 8 ft. tall and absolutely lovely.
This thirty-seven foot waterfall is an absolutely beautiful place to visit, but in order to see Pam’s Grotto in its full glory, you’ll have to go after a heavy downpour.
At the southeast end of the campground, you’ll find another wet weather waterfall. This one is called Pack Rat Falls, and it’s just as pretty as a picture. Pack Rat Falls is over twenty-four feet tall, and it’s really only impressive after a good rain.
On top of the awesome waterfalls, you’re going to absolutely love the area around Haw Creek Falls Recreation Area. Haw Creek is absolutely beautiful...
This mini-waterfall paradise is a dream come to life and it requires very little effort to see all those beautiful falls. It's a rugged paradise you won't want to miss.
