J.B. Weisenfels has lived in rural Arkansas for three decades. She is a writer, a mom, and a graduate student. She is also an avid collector of tacky fish whatnots, slightly chipped teapots, and other old things. In her spare time she enjoys driving to the nearest creek to sit a while. If you were to visit her, she'd try to feed you cornbread.
There are so many extraordinary eateries in the Natural State that we could spend years discussing them. One of the restaurants here in Arkansas is so unique that there might not be another one just like it in the whole world. That restaurant is called Grotto Wood-Fired Grill & Wine Cave, and it’s located at 10 Center Street in Eureka Springs.
Part of the Grotto’s appeal is its location. The restaurant is housed in a historic building right on the main drag of Eureka Springs’ beautiful downtown area.
On the back wall, you’ll see exactly why the word "cave" is in the restaurant’s name. When the building was constructed, it was built around a natural geological feature.
In the bar area you’ll find professional mixologists to mix your drink for you. If wine is more to your taste, you’ll find choices from all across the world.
